Cycling in Paris

March 12, 2014

I love Paris! Getting to tour this beautiful city by bike was amazing! We met our tour guide (Thanks Blue Bike Tours!) at the Louvre for our Paris Landmarks Tour.  We cycled around Paris on these fun blue bicyles. As you can imagine, it is very crowded almost everywhere we went so we had to do a lot of maneuvering through crowds near the Champs-Elysées and Notre Dame, and most of the other landmarks. Use caution when riding on the streets and sidewalks in Paris, it can be dangerous without the help of a tour guide. With the tour guide my comfort level was increased as he led us through the crowds to each site without any problems. We received some negative comments from pedestrians who were not accustomed to cyclists riding near the landmarks. Solo cyclists were seen enjoying a leisurely ride by the Seine River. Overall it was totally worth it and I can't wait to do it again (on a bike tour)!
